Admission

  1. Applications for admission to U.K.G. are accepted for children who are 5+ years old as of 31st March. The Admission Notice, which provides detailed information about the admission procedures, will be available from the school in August. Admissions to other classes may be considered against chance vacancies at the beginning of the school year.
  2. Parents are required to fill in the admission forms with the utmost accuracy, as no subsequent changes will be permitted. The school does not accept affidavits for changes in the date of birth once it has been entered in the school records.
  3. A candidate who has attended a recognized school must submit a Transfer Certificate from the previous school. Catholic students are also required to provide a Baptism Certificate.
  4. New candidates must be introduced personally to the Principal by the person who will be responsible for their conduct and fees.
  5. Candidates seeking admission will be examined on the syllabus of the class immediately below the one they are applying for.
  6. The ISC course is a separate program, and admission to the Plus Two level is normally reserved for students who have completed ICSE at Don Bosco School, Oodlabari. Admission is entirely at the discretion of the School Authorities, even for the school’s own ICSE students, and is based on academic and non-academic performance, including conduct and overall behavior.
  7. A fresh application is required for admission to the ISC course. There will be an interview with the candidate and their parents. The Conduct Record of the student plays a significant role in the admission decision.
  8. ISC students are expected to follow the same discipline standards as other students in the school. Any failure to maintain the tone of conduct and discipline expected of senior students, as per the traditional norms of the school, may lead to dismissal at any time.
  9. For admission to ISC (Class XI) for students of Don Bosco School, Oodlabari, the following criteria apply:

  13. Courses offered for ISC:
    • Science: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Computer Science & Physical Education
    • Humanities: English, History, Political Science, Economics, Geography/Mathematics & Physical Education/ Computer Science
    • Commerce: English, Accountancy, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, & Physical Education/ Computer Science.
  14. The Rector or Principal is the final authority in granting admissions, and his decision is final and binding on all.
